The Role of Nitric Oxide in the Growth and Development of Schizophyllum commune Under Anaerobic Conditions

This study shows that nitric oxide, a chemical messenger, plays an important role in helping a wood-decay fungus called Schizophyllum commune grow and reproduce in environments without oxygen.
